Problem: Non-working WiFi in Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo L1310G

Faulty functioning of the wireless network in the Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo L1310G may occur after reinstalling the system, cleaning the system or disabling programs started with the start. Seemingly harmless operation can affect important computer functions. The problem doesn’t have to be limited to the L1310G.

Both WiFi drivers and the device itself shows no problems, and yet you can not search for any network, and the WiFi LED is off. Often in such situations it is necessary to turn on the wireless network in a laptop with a special button. Sometimes it is a separate button, sometimes it is a key combination.
In this model it is a separate button, but it behaves as if it did not work, and every attempt to turn on WiFi in Windows fails.

Solution: Power Manager silent mode / RF

The solution is very simple but not so obvious. To restore the functionality of the WiFi enable button, install the “Power Manager silent mode / RF” power and volume management driver here. It is interesting that you can also use drivers from another model, e.g. Amilo A1655 (here) and also the functionality of the keys will come back.
After installing the driver, press the WiFi button above the keyboard and everything will work as it should.
